It looks like there will be another Audience Choice Award this time round. And I daresay competition this time round is much more keener. We are indeed swimming with the big boys *koff koff*.
We went to a showcase of all the finalists’ videos last Friday (we were 10 minutes late and we missed our own lol) and we were particularly impressed by the strong showing in the Media Student’s category. My own personal fave (errm other than mine of coz :P) was “Pink Boy”. Its a simple love story, told in a funny S’porean way that will endear to many. I think it stands a very good chance of clinching the audience choice this time round. In fact the only thing that I think threw the film off was because it was dubbed; I’m not sure if the dubbing was to salvage a botched-up audio recording coz you can tell that the actors could speak Chinese.
Speaking of audio, I told Dave that our own audio at the end of “4444” was too soft, such that the audience can’t really hear what the doctor was saying, which was important to the meaning behind the show. I thought he would have done something about it for the re-submission but the asshat said that he didn’t cuz he was too busy… -__-
Anyway I was just checking out the video showing page and it seems that there is still some technical problem with the playback. The videos I watched all had the audio playing much faster than the visual… not sure if its my browser or computer or the website problem. So if you are experiencing the same problem, you may wanna check back later and see if they have fixed it.
So please vote for “4444” if you still love it and think that it should be your Audience Choice this time round. I’m told the first 200 voters will get a free invite to the Awards nite at Zouk, where there will be free flow of Tiger (but sadly no Jessica *sigh*).
