When September Ends

We lost a good man today. And Singapore is the poorer for it.

Even as I write this, the heavens seems to have open up in mourning.

Rest in peace, Mr Jeyaretnam.

Baby You Can Ride Me Instead

Posted by Ruok On September - 25 - 2008

Its been an interesting week.

Having a car, that is.

Driving the Chrysler brought back memories of my swinging yuppie days; back to the heady days of cheaper fuel, the occasional ERP gantry and the action behind the seats.

Of course now fuel prices has almost doubled and you sometimes pay double the ERP for the same stretch of road.

These seven days have allowed me to count the cost of driving indeed. And I think until the day comes when I seriously need to drive, I don’t think I’ll be switching to this lifestyle.

It just doesn’t make economic sense to a actor like myself now.

Unless its an endorsement deal of sorts, of course. ;)

Collected the prize yesterday.

And my oh my, she’s really big. Not that curvy, but enough, to hint the sexy beast that is in her.

As I sat on the driver’s seat, I felt like I was back driving my Land Rover in the army., for it gave me the same “can’t really see the whole front” feeling.

The pickup is very strong and the ride is very smooth. And the sound system is just AWESOME. Boston Acoustics, no less.

My only gripe so far is that this model has all the signal lights on the left hand side. Which got me activating the wipers everytime I want to make a turn … Oh and yeah, parking is a real bitch. :P

But you know what, five minutes after I drove off from the showroom, I let out a beastly and maniacal laughter.

:D

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

It is by far the best romantic comedy I’ve watched in years. And I amazed that the lead actor wrote such a good script as well. Jason, for those not in the know, also acts in How I Met Your Mother.

It was also nice to see Mila Kunis, of The 70s Show fame, in a totally different light.

Excellent script, good acting and a lovely feel good vibe all round. What more can you ask for from a movie?

Go watch it if you haven’t. :)

Baby You Can Drive My Car

I’m just an actor, I’m not a star.

But with the help of the lovely folks at Chrysler and Power 98, I’ll be driving my own car for a week.

Gee, I wonder what I’m gonna do with the car for a week…
