With Superman Returns looming, I’m reminded of this lovely Five for Fighting song. I think it strucks a chord with a lot of people because sometimes we do feel its not easy being us.
So after digging it out and hearing it, I was inspired to pen a personalised version of the song :
Last night’s conversation seemed to have brought me dreaming about her again. The details of the dream are sketchy right now as I was woken up by a wrong number … the only thing that I remember from the dream is how we were going through a test to measure the intensity of our feelings for each other. I think the phone woke me up before the results were out (not that the results were ever in doubt :P)

So many casting calls all of a sudden?!

Yesterday, I got a “casting call” of another kind which made me realised that the price of chasing my dreams might have just become higher. In fact, much, much higher.
A head-hunting firm called me up, invited me to apply for a high paying position. The headhunter added that she got my contact because I was highly recommended by “someone” but she refused to divulge the identity.
So how high was the pay offered? Lets just say that its high enough to afford me a car and a small apartment. If I’m offered, its really a no-brainer not to turn it down. Yet as I thought of discarding my dreams, I had to fight hard to hold back the tears swelling in my eyes.
Aye, letting go of my heart’s desire is never ever easy.
I didn’t consider myself to be the main lead on the episode last night (in fact, I’d figured Jimmy should be the main lead), so I was pleasently surprised when I came up top billing.
In a weekend of not so pleasent surprises, its a little gratifying to finally get a small pleasent one at the end.
In other news, I seem to be getting lots of casting calls again. Its always amazing to me how just one of such call would almost instantly raise my spirits, even though I have not even clinched the role yet! 😀
Update : The one I was holding out for didn’t panned out, I got rejected even without an audition. Two more on Friday, we’ll see how it goes.
I first heard Butch on the soundtrack of “A Lot Like Love”, and was really impressed with the lyrics in the song then. While searching for the music video of “Maybe Its Just Me“, I came across even more of his music in YouTube and what can I say, this guy really rawks. His lyrics are damn power manz. How the hell did I ever missed his album in 2004?! I really gotta go and get it now. (Haha, yeah, I maybe WOLS, but better late than never :P)

When one refuses an offer of coitus, one must be, according to one’s friends, quite bonkers to decline bonking. It might be a case of temporary insanity, but I think I will still go book that appointment with Woodbridge Hospital all the same.
If you asked me, my own analysis would be that it was due to the utter lack of coitus in my life so far that made me said no.
Before it slips my mind, I thought I’d better note this down. I discovered at the start of the month that I’m currently the top search in Google.
That’s right folks, when you google “Vincent Lee”, that’s my website in Numero Uno. Quite a far cry from the non existence when it was birthed almost two years ago. Of course this couldn’t have been achieved without Zeus plugging me about three times and being tomorrowed twice.
More importantly, this couldn’t have been achieved without you, my dear stalkers readers, who keep coming back here expecting to read about my lastest shag with hawt actresses, only to find no such thing happening.

On another note, I’ve also just realised that this makes it another thing that I have in common with that eyebrow plucker. Darn.
