Simi Lai Eh?
You have a nuanced acting style and a screen presence that would certainly be a real asset for our projects in future productions.
This was from an email, informing me I didn’t get the role.
I’m still wondering what “nuanced acting style” means…
Honey, I Killed The Blog
Addy, that is.
I’m still in the middle of revamping the site.
I guess the biggest change is shifting the whole blog to the main directory (Thanks Mandrake!) and using a new template to house all my portfolio etc.
This template isn’t the easiest to use and might not be the eventual final one. But I’m giving it a whirl and trying to learn new things. So bear with it for a while hor.

Semi-Charmed Kind Of Life
Haven’t been blogging as I’ve been having problems with the PC. You see, I went to reward myself with a spanking new graphic card, but it ended up giving me more headaches than delight. Its like hooking up with the hawtest babe in town and she suddenly decides to switch camp.
Frustration Incorporated.
So I spent quite a bit of time trouble-shooting it, and I’m pleased to say I managed to nick most of the problems. Computers I can always figure out. Eventually. Women, on the other hand, I’ll never figure them out.
Perpetually.
So it’s the last quarter of the year, and the only positive thing so far is that my harvest is good enough to last me till the end of this winter. On the acting front, things have been really quiet so far, although ironically, I seem to be getting more knowing looks and hushed whispers from strangers.
I have a feeling that the rerun of my very first lead role (five years ago) on national tv was the cause. It got aired in early September over Channel 8 and surprisingly lots of people caught it.
In fact, in one particular week, I got recognised by no less than four people. The first was this chiropractor I’ve been seeing for over a year. After the session, he suddenly asked me if I was an actor. Turns out he caught the episode and found my character familiar.
The second, was during a wedding dinner. The bride told me her mother asked her if I was an actor. Again, she thought she saw me on tv before.
The third and fourth, was a couple that stayed a few floors above me. They recognised me from the Woh Hup ad, even though I was with my Clark Kent disguise!
All this, in a week. >.< Still, I'd rather I get more acting jobs. I've yet to don a role that I'm proud with this year. And I'm really hoping I get it before the year ends. Its been, as it always have been, a semi-charmed kind of life so far. But I want something else, need even, to get me through this.
