April 2009 will probably go down as THE month to top, and I’m having withdrawal symptoms already.

Free alcohol, free food, partying with Playmates, two heck of birthday bashes and fine, fine company. I seriously think it doesn’t get any better than this, although boo tells me my wedding day will top all this.

That is, if I ever,ever get married. 😛

The free alcohol started with the whisky tasting, followed by the generosity of VIP Magazine that plied us with drinks during the launch and after launch party, followed by the Bar Stop’s 5th anniversary, which handed us free flow of house pours for about an hour.

Gee … I just remembered I’ve got another bottle of champagne waiting for me at Wala.

The sad part about April was of course seeing the last of Shirlyn till 9 weeks later. But I’m just glad that her last two gigs coincided with my birthday and I had an awesome time.

So if I had the pleasure of your company during this time, I hope you had a blast as well (thanks Jeff for an awesome montage!). 😀

And I was to be a rapist yet again. They have requested for a totally unkempt look this time round, so the world gets to see me in my three day unshaven gory.

And maybe to a certain extent, it seems art is now imitating my life. The character goes as close as almost removing his pants only. Close, but no cigar.

The object of my affections this time round is the sweet Felicia Chin.

Hmm, so far, their names have all started with “F”, is this going to be a trend?

Shooting these kind of scenes is hardly ever pleasant, both for the victim and the victimizer. Which is why I always let the director choreograph the whole act. I feel this often puts the actress more at ease, especially if the director is a female as well.

We had a few tough scenes. There was the one which I had to drag her, kicking and screaming and squirming violently, through some vegetation. It took quite a number of takes, and halfway through, she had cut her finger from one of the thorns and I had the back of my neck scratched by some branch. I almost sprained my shoulder as well.

We managed to nail it finally, and at the end of the last take I felt this sharp pain on my right big toe. Its the kind you feel when someone steps real hard down on your toe.

It was so painful that I practically had to limp on one foot for awhile. This kinda makes it hard to do the next few scenes, which required me to chase after her.

You see, my character was supposed to be limping on the LEFT foot. But now, I’m kinda limping on the RIGHT due to the pain on the big toe. And since it has to be conty, I had to continue limping on the LEFT.

So imagine me, running as fast as I could, limping on my bad foot. I didn’t even had to wait for the shoot to be over to feel my right leg muscles acting up on me. But I think despite the pain, I did quite alright; not only for the chase sequences, but for the whole act.

I hate to say it, but I think I’m getting good at this kind of role. >.<

Afterthought : Aiyah, should have entitled this entry “My Left Foot”

At an office party, last week.

“Mummy!” she spoke in chinese, “I recognise him! He’s the murderer!!” her finger pointed sorely at yours truly.

What can I say, I have killer looks. 😉

Talk about life imitating art again. I woke up late for my shoot (somehow I didn’t hear the alarm go off) and had to rush off on an empty stomach. I didn’t even had time for a much needed caffeine fix as well. So yeah, I was literally hungry like a wolf while acting as a colour wolf.

I really should pick the title of my blog posts with care next time. 😛

As I was running late, and due to the long queue at the make-up department, I had no choice but to go without any make-up. I was half expecting to get yelled at on location but a bemused director told the make-up artist on location that she felt I was made-up too “beautiful” to be a colour wolf (she mistakenly thought I was made up already). So she ordered that I be touched “down”. Make him more “恶心” (disgusting), was her exact words.

Gee, I think this is the first time I’ve been touched “down”. Hehehe.

All hail the ism that is Terz!

Ruok was at his usual spot, bobbing his head and swaying to the music dished out by the uncomparable, unmatchable and unbeliveable, UnXpected. Tonight would seem to be an ordinary night.

And tonight would seem to be a quiet night.

Ruok took the opportunity to quickly scan the crowd again as the band prepared for its next song. Looks like there won’t be any girls who love dirty rocker boys tonight, he muses quietly to himself.

So he continue to bob, rock and sway through the remaining songs of the set. It was good that the band was playing the songs that he liked, for this meant he could sing along in the midst of his bobbing and swaying. This was his usual modus operandi to enjoying the band’s performance and at times he can be oblivious to his surroundings while he’s doing that.

So after the set, Ruok’s friends left downstairs to puff their magic dragon, while Ruok stayed back and looked after their belongings. It was at this very moment that he noticed a lovely lass walking up to his table.

Believe it or not, it looks like the campaign is still going on. Yay!!

It appears that the audition that I didn’t think went well, well, went rather well in the end. The casting director just dropped me an email telling me that the director was impressed by me and that they will let me know by next Monday.

And she also said that my new head shot is so much better!! (Thanks Terz!)

Wait… does that mean my previous ones were really lousy?! Gah, no wonder so little auditions…

On another note, yes, I got my new pictures liow. And no, I haven’t got time to do a proper gallery yet. 😛

Upon closer examination of my script last night, I realised one of the roles given to me was a bad guy one again.

Just when I thought I could “leave this bitter sea” for the first time and land three non bad guy roles in a row.

I should have known it was too good to be true. 😛

Off to my shoot soon. Been ages I woke up so early for one… Heh.

My brother just popped into my room to tell me that his cute young friend, who have only seen me twice so far in the span of two weeks, had told him this :

“Your brother can look quite evil hor?”

天啊!!!!

Which brings to mind, today, while “trying” to take pictures of me in the image of a boy-next-door, Terz said,

“You look paikia in your boy-next-door look leh…”

天啊!!!!!!

天啊!!!!!!!!!

Cuz I’ll be on camera. 😀

Will be having my long overdue photoshoot in a few hours time.

And even though there’s little for me to smile these days, I’ll still try my darnest.
