Talk about life imitating art again. I woke up late for my shoot (somehow I didn’t hear the alarm go off) and had to rush off on an empty stomach. I didn’t even had time for a much needed caffeine fix as well. So yeah, I was literally hungry like a wolf while acting as a colour wolf.
I really should pick the title of my blog posts with care next time. π
As I was running late, and due to the long queue at the make-up department, I had no choice but to go without any make-up. I was half expecting to get yelled at on location but a bemused director told the make-up artist on location that she felt I was made-up too “beautiful” to be a colour wolf (she mistakenly thought I was made up already). So she ordered that I be touched “down”. Make him more “Γ¦ΒΒΆΓ₯ΒΏΖ” (disgusting), was her exact words.
Gee, I think this is the first time I’ve been touched “down”. Hehehe.
Its been a long time since I acted and the rustiness is beginning to show. I think at the end of the day I managed to pull it off, but it wasn’t easy (or as easy as it used to be) and I know I can be better. I think I might have to seriously re-consider not doing pro bono shorts anymore, cuz right now I think I need all the practice I can get. The acting workshop I’m starting next week is beginning to look like an sound investment now.
On another note, I think the slapstick part of my performance wasn’t too bad. Of course, I still feel it could be better, but I guess this proves that comedy comes more easily to me. Despite a longer absence from comedy (the last one should be the Office Casanova ad), it required a far lesser effort, in comparison, to pull this off. And judging from the reaction from the crew, I guess they were also quite impressed that I was willing to go all out for this.
But of course, some of you would be dying to know if my life did imitate my art of being a colour wolf this morning. All I have to say is that despite my face being so darn close to the luscious being’s lovely and perky rack, despite my body almost impaling upon hers, I still felt more attracted to my director than her. (No offense hor, Fiona, I still think you’re hawt π )
Its a strange phenomenon. A strange phenomenon indeed.
Oh did I mention I really loved doing comedy? π
haha!!! the director’s smile melt ur heart away rightttt

gracey, nah it just swept the cobwebs away for the day.
